Hemming A Garment Doesn't Need To Be Complicated

Here Are 2 Easy Ways To Complete Hems That Are Functional and Pretty

Many of us have to deal with hemming pants, skirts, dresses, tops, etc.

In my case, I am very tall and I have to let hems down.

Other people are short, and everything they buy is too long and they have to shorten the garments.

This can get expensive.  It can cost you anywhere from $6.00-$10.00 per item to be altered.

On these pages, I will show you a couple methods that will make hemming your outits easy.

On page  Hems By Hand or Machine you'll be learning a simple method of creating a hem using hand stitching or running a stitch with a sewing machine.

The Hems Using Lace Facings page uses a technique that is not only easy, but very pretty as well.

There are many other ways of hemming using special stitches with your sewing machine, but I think these two are easy and effective.
